My New Show-and-Tell Experiment

Not sure why I haven’t been doing this for the past 6+ years, but I’m gonna start now…

SHOW AND TELL – Simply fucking showing & explaining the process behind all of the work I complete (that I’m proud of). And even if I can’t give any explicit details, there’s still gonna be something valuable in the behind-the-scenes that I can share.

GPT is involved in a ton of the work I do these days, especially in the research + editing phases of any writing project. So I created a recurring task in ChatGPT that runs every Friday afternoon.

The goal is to turn all the work I’m already doing into potential content ideas, without having to remember what I did or brainstorm what to post about.

Click to read the weekly recap prompt

Review my ChatGPT conversations and available context from the past 7 days. Identify the meaningful things I worked on, built, wrote, tested, decided, or changed, especially around LearningFreelance.com, my writing/content systems business, client work, and experiments. Explain the behind-the-scenes processes: how I approached problems, prompts and workflows used with GPT, tools and integrations, iterations, discoveries, failed approaches, and lessons. Do not fabricate details or imply access to conversations or files you cannot see.

Deliver a clear weekly digest with:

  1. Concrete accomplishments and outcomes.
  2. The process behind each.
  3. 5–10 specific LinkedIn post angles in my conversational, candid voice, with hooks and why each might resonate.
  4. The 2–3 strongest ideas drafted as short LinkedIn posts.
  5. Follow-up questions where important context is missing.

Keep specifics and avoid generic productivity advice. This digest is for turning real work into authentic public writing.

I also turned on email notifications for ChatGPT tasks, so I’ll get a reminder when the weekly recap is ready.

GPT won’t have access to my thinking – so I’ll probably record some voice memos describing the thinking behind my work to fill in some gaps.

But just automating the part where I have to remember all the potentially interesting things I did that week… I’m hoping this will make me much more consistent at showcasing the copy I’m writing.

Will that turn into new business? That remains to be seen.

Experiment starts now.
